Frank "macca" McAvennie was undoubtedly one of footballs most flamboyant characters. A real fans favourite wherever he played and a legend to the fans of Cetic and West Ham alike. Macca came from a humble football background starting in the junior ranks to quickly rise to the top level of European Football with West Ham, forming a deadly partnership with Tony Cottee in Englands top league. He continued to be a prolific scorer throughout his career and joined his beloved Celts and led the team to a memorable double with some unforgettable last minute goals in their centenary year in 1988.
Macca in his retirement from the game continued his flamboyance and never opted for the traditional footballers venture into the Public House trade, but instead opted to enter the rather more risky treasure hunt business.
A Prolific finsher off the park as well as on it, a true character and legend of the game.
